1. Collection of Personal Information

 

When you sign up and use our app, we may collect the following personal information:

 

• Name or Nickname: Used for user identification within the app.
• Email Address: Used for account creation, communication, and user login.
• Date of Birth: To ensure you meet the app’s minimum age requirements.
• Usage Data: Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. We may also collect information that Your browser sends whenever You visit our Service or when You access the Service by or through a mobile device.

 

We also collect other information, with your prior permission, when you use specific features of the app:

 

• Voice Samples: If you choose to use our voice cloning feature, we will collect voice recordings that you submit. These samples will be used to create a cloned version of your voice and improve our voice cloning technology over time.
• Photos, Videos, and Documents: Users may upload photos, videos, and documents to our app, which will be stored in the cloud (currently using Firebase). These files will be used to create video shows that users can share via third-party apps like email or messaging apps.

 

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain products or services. These may include: (a) registering for an account; (b) entering a sweepstakes or contest sponsored by us or one of our partners; (c) signing up for special offers from selected third parties; (d) sending us an email message; (e) submitting your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing products and services. To wit, we will use your information for, but not limited to, communicating with you in relation to services and/or products you have requested from us. We also may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.

 

2. Purpose of Collecting Personal Information

 

Stor Me LLC collects and uses your personal information to operate and deliver the services you have requested. We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:

 

• Account Creation and Management: To create and maintain your account, including verifying your identity.
• Voice Cloning: To generate a cloned version of your voice based on the recordings you provide. These samples may be stored for an indefinite period to retrain and improve the quality of our voice cloning technology.
• Video Show Creation and Sharing: To enable you to create and share video shows made from your uploaded photos and videos.
• Cloud Storage: To store your media files (photos, videos, documents) securely in the cloud.
• User Communication: To communicate with you about your account, app updates, or other services you may be interested in.

 

3. User Consent and Control Over Voice Cloning

 

By using our voice cloning feature, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

 

• Your Responsibility: If you upload third-party voice samples (e.g. belonging to other people in order e.g., to clone their voice), you confirm that you have obtained permission from that individual. Stor Me LLC disclaims any liability for unauthorized use of third-party voice samples.
• Storage of Voice Samples: Voice samples provided by users will be stored for an indefinite period and used to train and improve our voice cloning models. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you consent to this storage and use.
• Data Removal: You may request the deletion of your voice samples by contacting us at contact@storme.online, but we cannot guarantee removal if the data has already been incorporated into anonymized, aggregated voice models. While personal data, such as voice samples, can be deleted upon request, anonymized data already used in model training cannot be traced back to an individual and therefore cannot be removed.

 

4. Data Sharing with Third Parties

 

Stor Me LLC does not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties. However, we may share data with trusted partners who help us operate the app or provide services, such as:

 

• Cloud Storage Providers: Your photos, videos, documents, and voice samples are stored securely in the cloud using third-party services.
• Service Providers: We may share your information with service providers that assist us with customer support, analytics, and communication.

 

All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to Stor Me LLC, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

 

5. Legal Requirements and Disclosure

 

Stor Me LLC may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

 

• - Conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Stor Me LLC or the site;
• - Protect and defend the rights or property of Stor Me LLC;
• - Act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Stor Me LLC, or the public.

 

6. Data Retention

 

We will retain your personal information, including media files and voice samples, for as long as necessary to provide you with our services. You consent to the indefinite retention of your voice samples for the purpose of improving our voice cloning technology unless you explicitly requested to delete them. Photos, videos, and documents will be stored in the cloud as long as your account remains active.

 

Subject to certain exceptions set out below, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

 

• - Delete your personal information from our records; and
• - Direct any service providers to delete your personal information from their records.

 

Please note that we may not be able to comply with requests to delete your personal information if it is necessary to:

 

• - Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, provide a good or service requested by you, or reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform a contract between you and us;
• - Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity; or prosecute those responsible for that activity;
• - Debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality;
• - Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise his or her right of free speech, or exercise another right provided for by law;
• - Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act;
• - Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when our deletion of the information is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of such research, provided we have obtained your informed consent;
• - Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us;
• - Comply with an existing legal obligation; or
• - Otherwise use your personal information, internally, in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which you provided the information.

 

7. User Rights

 

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

 

• Access and Correction: You can access and update your personal information via your account settings.
• Deletion: You may request the deletion of your personal data, including voice samples and media files, by contacting us. We will delete the data unless it’s needed for legal or operational reasons.
• Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw your consent for us to store and use your voice samples or other personal data by contacting us. However, once your voice data is used for training models, it may no longer be possible to remove it from the system.

 

8. Security of Your Personal Information

 

We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement a variety of measures to safeguard your data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Specifically, we employ the following security practices:

 

• Encryption: All personal data, including voice samples, photos, videos, documents, and any other sensitive information, is encrypted both in transit (when being sent from your device to our servers) and at rest (when stored on our servers). This ensures that your data remains protected during transmission and while it is stored in the cloud.
• Access Control: Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel and service providers who require the information to perform their roles. All personnel are bound by confidentiality agreements and are trained in data security best practices.
• Regular Security Audits: We conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential weaknesses in our systems. This helps ensure that your data is always protected according to the latest industry standards.

9. Children Under Thirteen

 

Stor Me LLC does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this app. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

 

10. Third-Party Websites

 

Our app may allow you to share media files (photos, videos) via third-party apps or websites. By connecting your Stor Me LLC account to your third party account, you acknowledge and agree that you are consenting to the continuous release of information about you to others (in accordance with your privacy settings on those third party sites). If you do not want information about you, including personally identifying information, to be shared in this manner, do not use this feature. You may disconnect your account from a third party account at any time. Users may learn how to disconnect their accounts from third-party websites by visiting their "My Account" page. Users may also contact us via email.

 

While Stor Me LLC takes reasonable precautions, in the event of a third-party data breach, Stor Me LLC will notify users in compliance with applicable laws.

 

11. E-mail Communications

 

We may send you emails about app updates, announcements, promotions, alerts, confirmations, surveys, and/or other general communication. You may opt out of receiving these communications by following the instructions in the emails or contacting us directly.

 

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

 

Stor Me LLC reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account, by placing a prominent notice on our application, and/or by updating any privacy information. Your continued use of the application and/or Services available after such modifications will constitute your: (a) acknowledgment of the modified Privacy Policy; and (b) agreement to abide and be bound by that Policy.
